Making Space

Spend a weekend making space for God - scroll down for further information and dates.

Our ‘Making Space’ guided retreats encourage, and invite, people to ‘come out into the deep’ - deepening their relationships with God through personal reflection and prayer. Each retreat is different but provides the opportunity and space to explore where God is at work in your life - all in a safe and peaceful environment without the distractions that we often face on a daily basis. The ‘Making Space’ retreats run throughout the year and are available both at the weekend and mid-week. They are led by Ruth Traynar (see below for more information about Ruth), a spiritual director with many years of experience, who will offer gentle reflective activities in a small, non-threatening, group environment. Each retreat will follow a similar pattern, but vary in essence meaning that no two retreats are the same.

During the retreat, there will be periods of individual space or ‘free time’ which you can spend with God any way you choose - reading, listening to music, walking, or just resting in the stillness of his presence.

Do you feel God calling you to spend time with him? If so, we would love to welcome you to ‘Make Space’ - where you can begin the journey to refresh, renew or deepen your walk with God.

Our retreats are available at different times during the year and include:

  • Weekend accommodation from Friday evening to Sunday afternoon or Wednesday evening to Friday afternoon mid week.

  • All meals (breakfast, 2 course lunch, light supper, afternoon tea/cake)

  • Refreshments.

  • Access to our beautiful grounds and prayer cabin for the duration of your stay.

The cost for the retreat is £255 per person. Come away as an individual or book with friends.

A little bit about Ruth….

The desire of Ruth’s heart is to help people connect and re-connect with God on a personal and spiritual level - “…experiencing God at work in the lives of others is a delight beyond words…”
