“Didn’t our hearts burn within us while he was speaking with us?”

We invite you to step aside and spend  some time with Jesus, seeking to draw nearer to him as we consider our onward journey. Through selected passages of Scripture and a variety of reflective exercises, you will have the opportunity to rest in God’s presence, encounter Christ where you truly are, and listen for his voice. May your heart, like the disciples on the road to Emmaus, “burn within you” as you walk with him and receive fresh vision for the journey ahead.

Led by Jack and Sandra Telfer in the peaceful setting of Stanton House, you will find space for reflection, personal prayer, and restful contemplation, with the invitation to seek deeper intimacy with the Lord throughout your time here. Scroll down to read more about Jack and Sandra

The retreat includes:

  • Accommodation from Thursday evening to Sunday afternoon

  • All meals (breakfast, 2 course lunch, light supper, afternoon tea/cake)

  • Refreshments

  • Access to our beautiful grounds and prayer cabin for the duration of your stay

A bit about Jack and Sandra…

Jack and Sandra Telfer have led retreats and quiet days in various settings. They love to create a space in which others can encounter the Lord for themselves using a variety of Biblically inspired exercises which draw from a range of traditions.

In addition to church based pastoral care, they have experience of supporting cross-cultural workers as part of the member care team of a UK based mission organisation. Their work has included debriefing and sabbatical coaching.

They have been married over 45 years and have two children and five grandchildren.
