Stanton House Christian Retreat Oxford

FACILITIES AT STANTON HOUSE

Stanton House offers a place to find rest and renewal, a place to spend time with the Lord, a place for Christian fellowship, and a place to enjoy good food.

In addition to the bedrooms, various spaces are available for guests. The ground floor contains two lounges, at least one of which will normally be free. Additional comfortable seating is available in the main hall. On the second floor is the prayer room, which guests are welcome to use when it is free. There is also a prayer cabin in the orchard, and guests are welcome to enjoy the grounds.

Worship and ministry tapes, together with a Walkman, are available to borrow, as well as a variety of books, games and puzzles. Daily newspapers and magazines can be found in the hall. A selection of Christian books, greetings cards etc., together with postcards and notelets of the house, are available for sale on the bookstall.

The main meals of the day are taken in the dining room. Lunch is served at 12.30 pm. Supper at 6.00 pm is the main meal of the day, except on Sundays when dinner is at 12.45 pm (to allow for attendance at church) followed by a light supper at 6.00 pm.

All guests are invited to join in a short devotional time led by one of the team after the evening meal. Members of the team are also available to talk or to pray with any guests who would find it helpful.
