Stanton House is not difficult to reach. It is in Stanton St John, a small village five miles north-east of Oxford just off the A40.

By car:
Stanton House is easily accessible by car from the M40. From the east, take the A40 (junction 8) to the Headington Roundabout, use the exit after the westbound A40 (signposted Crematorium, Stanton St John etc.) and continue to the T junction, turn right onto the B4027 as far as Stanton St John, then first left (Pound Lane). From the north, take the A34 (junction 9), turn off at the B4027 (sign-posted Islip), drive through Islip to Stanton St John, then first left (Pound Lane). Stanton House is signposted on the left, opposite some cottages. From the south (A34) or west (A40) follow the Oxford Ring Road to the Headington Roundabout, then follow the directions given above.

By train:
Travel to Oxford (using Paddington Station from London). Take a bus from outside Oxford railway station to Headington or Thornhill Park and Ride (No 400) and ring from there for a taxi. (Royal Cars: 01865 778866 or City Taxi 01865 201201 or 794000). Otherwise, phone the house from Headington or Thornhill Park and Ride and you will be collected, providing transport is available. Please note - public telephones are available in Headington only. A contribution of £3.00 per journey would be appreciated. If you are travelling from London, please note that it is usually more convenient and it is also much cheaper to come on one of the frequent express coaches that run from Victoria than to travel by train from Paddington.

By express coach:
Take the Oxford Tube coach service from Grosvenor Gardens or the Oxford City Link from Victoria Coach Station. Both services will pick you up at Marble Arch near the underground station. Please note that tickets are not interchangeable between the two services. Airport Express coaches also run regularly to Oxford from Heathrow and Gatwick. Whichever route you use, ask to be put off in Headington outside "Iceland", which is the stop after the Post Office, and ring from there for a taxi. (Royal Cars: 01865 778866 or City Taxi 01865 201201 or 794000). Otherwise, phone the house from Headington and you will be collected, providing transport is available. Please note - public telephones are available in Headington only. A contribution of £3.00 per journey would be appreciated.
